Information we collect

PatchGames creates a player account so your progress can persist. We store a player identifier, a hashed recovery key, authentication sessions, display name and previous names, ratings, match results and account activity. If you link Discord, we store your Discord identifier and profile information, including username and avatar. Linking Discord is optional.

We store content you create or submit: games, mods, code, revisions, patch requests, feedback, player reports and related build results. Published games, mods, names, ratings, match histories and patch notes are visible to other players. Do not put private information or credentials in content you publish.

We record matches, including inputs, game state and events, for replays, moderation and integrity review. We use network information, including IP addresses and security cookies, to protect the service. Technical logs and error information help us diagnose failures.

Stripe processes optional payments. We receive transaction references, purchase status and associated purchase records. Payment card details are entered into Stripe's checkout; PatchGames does not store full card numbers. If you contact support or claim a prize, we receive the information you provide, which may include contact and eligibility information.

How information is used and shared

We use this information to provide gameplay, save your creations, authenticate accounts, process purchases, administer seasons, prevent abuse, respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.

AWS hosts the service and its data. Cloudflare provides security and visitor verification. Stripe processes payments, and Discord provides optional account linking and activities. AI-assisted patch requests are processed by the AI providers used to fulfill those requests. When you connect your own AI, that provider can access and edit the games and content you authorize through the connection. You can revoke AI connections in Account.

These providers process information necessary for their services and have their own privacy policies. We do not use your data for advertising tracking across other companies' apps or websites. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and deletion

Account and creator data are retained while needed to operate your account and content. Match recordings and previous display names are generally retained for one year. Security records, purchases, reports and prize records may be retained as required by law or to resolve outstanding disputes.

To request deletion, open the game, select the user menu, open Account, and choose Delete account. Confirm the request in the app; you do not need to email or call us. We process deletion within 30 days and provide a receipt link where you can check completion. Deletion covers the account and associated personal data, including creator content and connected identities, except records we are legally required to retain. Deletion also removes access to unused builds.

For access, correction or other privacy requests, contact [email protected]. Your legal rights depend on where you live. We may verify account ownership before disclosing personal data.

Security and choices

Keep recovery keys and private claim codes secret. We use encrypted network connections, access controls and isolated game execution. No system can guarantee absolute security. Optional Discord and AI connections can be disconnected from Account. Theme and editor preferences may be saved locally on your device.

Children and updates

PatchGames is not directed to children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent. We may update this policy as the service changes; the effective date above identifies the current version.
